We are pleased to announce that Mr. Yusuke Takeoka, who was admitted as an attorney in Japan in 2013, has joined the firm as of August 1, 2019.
Mr. Takeoka has a wealth of experience in governance, crisis management, and corporate law including venture, while having drafted energy-related legislation in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Message from Mr. Takeoka:
I joined Mori Hamada & Matsumoto in 2013 and have practiced for a wide range of issues in the corporate area, centered on the Company Act, the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, venture-related matters and energy-related issues.  In the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, I drafted legislation and formulated government policies regarding laws that regulate electricity and gas companies.  Having developed expertise in application and enforcement of those laws, investigation and solution of electricity and gas companies' misdeeds and their compliance issues, I have committed myself to corporate governance and other various issues in the corporate area, crisis management and providing legal services for energy companies.
